Gastric Ballon

What is Gastric Ballon?

It is a temporary, non-surgical, outpatient method that involves placing a balloon made of soft, expandable silicone in the stomach, which is introduced through endoscopy with sedation, and then inflated inside the stomach to create a feeling of fullness, leading to a reduction in food intake.

How does it work?

It takes up space in the stomach:

Reduces your capacity by 30%, creating a feeling of fullness with smaller meals. This helps you consume fewer calories.

Loss of appetite:

It contributes to loss of appetite by delaying stomach emptying, which makes you feel full for longer between meals.

Duration of treatment:

The duration ranges from 6 months to a maximum of 1 year. Once the goal is achieved, it is removed in the same way through outpatient endoscopy, completely preserving its anatomy.

How much weight can I lose:

Lose up to (18 to 20 kg) or (39 to 44 pounds) of your current weight.
